Η 93η τελετή των Βραβείων Oscars είναι και φέτος εδώ! Ο θεσμός που όλοι αγαπήσαμε και που ενώνει τους απανταχού καλλιτέχνες θα διεξαχθεί για το 2021 μέσα από ένα παγκόσμιο livestream στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα τους. Στις 25 Απριλίου το ζεύγος Priyanka Chopra και Nick Jonas θα είναι αρμόδιο για την κίνηση των νημάτων κατά τη διάρκεια της βραδιάς.
Σε δύο χώρους θα πραγματοποιηθεί η τελετή κι αυτοί δεν είναι άλλοι από το Dolby Theatre και Union Theatre στο Λος Άντζελες. Μπορεί η πανδημία λόγω του COVID-19 να καθυστέρησε την παρουσίαση των Oscars δύο μήνες, ωστόσο τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα που απασχόλησαν το κοινό και τη βιομηχανία του κινηματογράφου -κι όχι μόνο- θα “παρελάσουν” σε λιγότερο από δύο μήνες από τις μικρές μας οθόνες.
Η ταινία “Mank”, λοιπόν, φαίνεται να προπορεύεται με δέκα υποψηφιότητες, ενώ την σκυτάλη παίρνουν οι δουλειές “The Fader”, “Judas and the Black Messiah”, “Minari”, “Nomadland”, “Sound of Metal” και “The Trial of the Chicago 7” με έξι υποψηφιότητες η κάθε μία.
Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε πως για πρώτη φορά φέτος, στην κατηγορία “Best Original Score” υπάρχει ως προϋπόθεση το score της κάθε ταινίας να έχει το λιγότερο 60% πρωτότυπης μουσικής, ενώ οι ταινίες franchise και τα sequels τουλάχιστον 80%. Ακόμη, η προκαταρκτική ψηφοφορία για την κατηγορία “Best International Feature Film” θα είναι επίσης ανοιχτή για όλα τα μέλη της Ακαδημίας που ψηφίζουν.
