- Οι 16 υποψηφιότητες που έλαβε το “Sinners” είναι οι περισσότερες στην ιστορία των Όσκαρ, ξεπερνώντας το προηγούμενο ρεκόρ (14) που μοιράζονταν οι ταινίες “Titanic”, “All About Eve” και “La La Land”.
H Ακαδημία πραγματοποίησε την 16η τελετή απονομής των Governors Awards στην αίθουσα Ray Dolby Ballroom του συγκροτήματος Ovation Hollywood στο Hollywood, στις 16 Νοεμβρίου 2025. Τα Επιστημονικά και Τεχνικά Βραβεία της Ακαδημίας θα απονεμηθούν στις 28 Απριλίου 2026, σε τελετή στο Academy Museum of Motion Pictures στο Λος Άντζελες.
Από αυτή την τελετή και έπειτα, η Ακαδημία θα αρχίσει να εφαρμόζει κανόνες που διασφαλίζουν ότι όλα τα μέλη έχουν παρακολουθήσει κάθε υποψήφια ταινία σε κάθε κατηγορία πριν ψηφίσουν στον τελικό γύρο.
Φέτος, το “Καλύτερο Casting” θα παρουσιαστεί ως νέα κατηγορία, ανεβάζοντας τον συνολικό αριθμό των κατηγοριών στις 24.
