Get to know Tudor (Fly Project) better through the exclusive interview he gave to SounDarts.gr

Hello Fly Project and welcome to SounDarts.gr! What are you currently working on musically?

I’m always in the studio, working on new music, exploring and creating fresh sounds, while doing shows around the world. Right now, I’m also part of a great prime-time TV show in Romania.

Your latest song, “One More Time,” has a fresh yet signature Fly Project sound. What inspired you to create it?

“One More Time” was inspired by the energy of my fans and the unforgettable nights I’ve experienced around the world. Music brings people together and we all have places in which we feel like home, where we want to return as soon as possible, for as many times as we can.

Do you think “One More Time” represents the next phase of Fly Project’s sound, or is it more of a nostalgic tribute to your earlier hits?

It’s a bit of both. It has the essence of Fly Project, if you want to call it this way, but it also reflects how I’ve evolved musically. It has the vibe and energy of an anthem of optimism, a motivational song for days that are not so good maybe and place you will always return to.

Songs like “Toca Toca,” “Musica,” and “Brasil” became massive hits worldwide. Did you expect them to reach such global success?

Honestly, I never expected them to become as big as they did, and I want to send my love to the people who listen to them over and over again, all over the world. I just make music that I love, and it’s amazing to see how people from different cultures connected with it. Music is a universal language.

Even after so many years, these songs are still played in clubs and parties. Why do you think they remain so popular?

Good vibes and unforgettable parties never go out of style! These songs have a unique energy and people love them, because they bring them emotions and amazing memories. Music is all about emotion, and I’m grateful that my tracks still make people dance and feel happy.

How do you see dance music today compared to when you first started?

Dance music has evolved a lot—production techniques, streaming platforms, and social media have changed the game. But at its core, it’s still about making people feel something, and that hasn’t changed.

Has your approach to writing or producing music changed over the years?

Yes, we all have to adapt every step of the way. Trends are important, but I always focus on the feeling of the music first. The process is different, but the goal remains the same—to create something that moves people.

If you could go back to 2005, what advice would you give to your younger self?

Trust the process, but be careful who you trust, stay true to your sound and never stop having fun. I’m grateful to do what I love.

What has been the most unforgettable moment of your career so far?

There are so many, but performing in front of huge crowds and hearing thousands of people sing my songs back to me is always an incredible feeling. Those moments remind me why I do this and make me never wanting to stop.

If you could collaborate with any artist from any genre -past or present- who would it be and why?

Hmm.. I don’t know, I love and respect many artists, it depends on the moment and the song.. of course..

What are your future professional plans?

I can’t wait to share what’s next. For now, I’m finishing the recording for this TV show -an extremely demanding and challenging project -while also working on my next single and new music, generally speaking. And, of course, Fly Project’s shows all over the world – wherever people want to see Fly Project live.

What’s your motto in life?

Work hard, stay humble, and never forget the steps you have to take to arrive where you are now!
